NEXAPROP · YOUR NEXT STEP

Take the next step with care.

A listing is a starting point. Check the person, the property and the arrangements before making a commitment.

Check who you are dealing with

Ask for the person’s professional registration number and agency details. Use the Board’s official register to compare their identity and firm. If details do not match, confirm them with the agency using independently obtained contact information before proceeding.

Check the Board’s professional register →

Official resource: Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers. The register offers searches for negotiators, members and firms.

A Nexaprop profile or published property is not a guarantee of identity, ownership or authority to market that property.

Know what you are going to see

Our practical viewing checklist:

  • Ask the agent to confirm the exact property, current availability, price and what is included.
  • Agree the date, time, meeting point and who you will meet. A viewing request in Nexaprop still needs confirmation.
  • Tell someone you trust where you are going; consider taking someone with you. Leave if the arrangements feel unsafe.
  • Keep a record of the listing and agreed details. Ask about anything missing or different when you view.

Share only the information needed for the enquiry. Do not put identity-card copies, banking passwords or one-time codes in a message.

Pause before transferring money

Do not let urgency replace checks. Independently confirm the recipient, their authority, the written payment purpose and the terms before paying. Nexaprop’s marketplace does not collect property deposits or hold money for buyers or tenants.

PDRM recommends checking suspicious phone numbers and bank accounts through Semak Mule. A search with no reported match is not a guarantee that a person or payment is safe.

Something does not look right?

For a listing concern: use Report this listing on the property page. Choose a reason and wait for the saved confirmation. If the listing is unavailable, email support with its link or reference. A report starts a review; it does not itself remove the listing.

Contact Nexaprop support →

If you suspect you have lost money to a scam: contact your bank immediately, call NSRC on 997 and make a police report. Do not wait for Nexaprop support to respond.
